This treasure trove of traditional vegetarian Andhra recipes is inspired by the authors’ interaction with 85 year old Subhadra Krishna Rau Parigi, fondly known as Pedatha, Telugu term for the matriarch in the house. The recipes are divided into sections, each representing an integral part of typical everyday Andhra fare. The brief description at the beginning of each section offers interesting insight into the nuances of this fiery cuisine, tips abound in plenty throughout the book.
Cooking at home wih Pedatha scores in its attempt to gently lead the reader with step by step guidelines through the recipes.
