The city of Bangalore always brings back memories of our journey with Pedatha & learning recipes from her. It is in this city that we began our first cookbook of Andhra vegetarian recipes. It is here that we visited Pedatha month after month learning her recipes & jotting them down. So we were delighted to launch “Cooking at Home with Pedatha” – the cookbook with her traditional Andhra recipes – in her own home town.

Prof. Ashish Khokar set the ball rolling with his enthusiasm & efforts. He agreed to compere the evening, helped us with the guest list, and above all, our joy knew no end when he managed to rope in Author & Art Promoter, Mr Akumal Ramachander, as the guest of honour.

The event was hosted by The Park, Bangalore on Jan 11, 2006. The chefs of the hotel prepared many Andhra recipes from the book, all in all, lovely ambience, good gathering, sumptuous food! The event was covered by the Bangalore media, including The Bangalore Age, Bangalore Times & Deccan Herald, to name a few.
